A fight over a 16 dollar bar tab has resulted in a Saskatoon man pleading guilty to a charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of a co-worker.
Twenty-nine- year-old Justin Bird and 25 year old Zachary Straughan were part of a work crew and had gone to a bowling alley in Winkler Manitoba last September, when the two got into an argument.
That argument escalated when Bird attacked Straughan with a pool cue striking him several times in the head knocking him unconscious.
Straughan was rushed to hospital, but died a few days later.
Bird will be sentenced in the fall.
