If Thursday is any indication, the Regina Pats will be selling to sell-out or near sell-out crowds for most of the 2017-18 campaign which will be their 100th anniversary.
Season tickets started going on sale and it came to the point where the team had to shut things down and establish a waiting list—-one that will take effect at 9 AM Friday morning with fans having to register by going to the team’s website.
Chief Operating Officer Stacey Cattell says the idea behind the list is to make sure existing season-ticket holders and those interested in wanting season tickets are taken care of.
Cattell adds it is phemonenal to see the interest at such a high level for what will be a special season which will hopefully be capped off with a Memorial Cup title as the Canadian junior hockey championship will be decided in May at the Brandt Centre.
Those going on the list will be contacted on a first-come, first-serve basis so Cattell is telling people not to wait.
He is also advising current season ticket holders to not wait until July 31 to decide whether or not to renew their packages, and that those season-ticket holders should have already received a renewal notice.
