Reaction to U.S President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement continues from what seems like every corner of the planet.
M.P for Regina Wascana, Ralph Goodale also commented on the decision that didn’t come as a surprise, but left many countries leaders shaking their heads.
Goodale said Canada needs to maintain it’s course of action along with the other countries who are part of the agreement.
“It’s very important for Canada to continue with the planning and the programming that we’ve announced, the rest of the world is clearly moving in that direction,” Goodale said.
Goodale added that it’s interesting to see major organizations in the U.S. speaking out against the Trump administrations plans as well.
“Indeed it’s interesting to hear the major business leaders in the United States, the municipal leaders in the United States, the State representatives in the U.S. along with a whole number of academic and research organizations saying that staying the course is the right thing to do,” said Goodale.
