Environment Canada says it was the driest spring we have had in Regina since 2008.
Environment Canada’s John Paul Cragg says the numbers show just how dry it was from March until May.
Cragg says those numbers show 31.5 millimeters of precipitation over the three month period which is the lowest since 2008 and well behind the average of 95.
As for whether or not this is a trend that will continue into the summer, Cragg says it is too early to tell.
While it was the driest spring in the Regina area and southern Saskatchewan in years, Cragg says it was the wettest spring in northern Saskatchewan since 2010.
