The Farm Progress Show is fast approaching, but before the programs are handed out and the mini donut stands start popping up, the giant agricultural machinery need to make its way to Evraz Place.
For the next week, equipment convoys will be on the move from 5 to 7 a.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m., heading down Dewdney Avenue towards Evraz Place.
Norman Kyle, the director of roadways and transportation for the City of Regina, says there shouldn’t be too many delays.
“We try to keep the road open and just move the convoy along,” Kyle said. “We’ll have our staff at the intersections – so there might be some slight delays, but overall, no road closures, no detours.”
Kyle says since they will double the convoys to clear out the area before the big Rider game on July 1st, things will be busier come the move out.
Should motorists run into the machinery, he reminds them to drive with caution and give operators plenty of space to maneuver their loads.
