The BC Lions showed they are ready for the CFL season Friday night while the Saskatchewan Roughriders may have more questions than answers after a 42-10 beatdown.
Jonathan Jennings threw three second quarter touchdowns as he finished 10 of 14 for 197 yards on the night.
Josh Stanford had the lone touchdown for the Riders catching a 38 yard touchdown pass from Bryan Bennett, while Tyler Crapigna had a field goal and Quinn Van Gylswyk added an extra point.
Kevin Glenn started at quarterback for the Roughriders and played the first quarter in his exhibition debut, going 5-of-7 for 81 yards, including an 41-yard completion to Duron Carter.
The Riders must be down to the 46 man limit along with their practice roster by Saturday night at 8 PM.
The green-and-white won’t have a lot of time to get ready for the start of the season as they are in Montreal Thursday night to take on Darian Durant and the Alouettes.
