An agreement has been signed between Saskatchewan’s two Universities and Sask. Polytechnic to promote higher education which is offered in the province.
Called the SASK Alliance, the aim of the agreement is to promote the college and universities internationally.
Livia Castellanos is the Associate Vice-President (International) and Chief International Officer at the University of Regina.
She says the post-secondary institutions are relatively well-known throughout the country, but not necessarily throughout the world.
“We have very good higher education in this province,” said Castellanos. “So now that the three presidents of these institutions have agreed on this, we will be able to create a Saskatchewan education brand abroad.”
Castellanos says one of the highlights of the agreement will be to establish and foster relations with governments, institutions, and funding-agencies abroad.
