Saskatoon Fairview MLA Jennifer Campeau has announced she will be stepping down from her seat to join the private sector.
“It has been a tremendous honour to be elected twice by the people of Saskatoon Fairview and to serve as their representative in the Legislature,” Campeau said. “I have enjoyed my time as an MLA and continue to strongly support the leadership of Premier Brad Wall and our Saskatchewan Party government. But the time has come for me to move on to a different opportunity.”
Campeau has accepted a position with Rio Tinto Mining company.
Campeau’s resignation is effective June 25, 2017. A byelectionwill be held within six months of that date to fill the vacant seat.
