An 18-year-old Regina man is facing three counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, after the car he was allegedly driving crashed into a home on the west side of the city.
Police were called to the corner of 2nd Avenue North and Osborne Street around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Upon arrival they found a car on it’s side along the east end of a home that had been significantly damaged.
The 76-year-old occupant of the home could be heard calling for help from the outside, officers forced their way into the house where they found the woman in her bedroom, which was located on the side of the house that had been damaged by the vehicle.
She was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.
The three occupants of the vehicle were also taken to hospital by EMS.
A fourth person who suffered minor injuries came forward to police later in the day Wednesday.
The driver, 18-year-old Jeremy Enock Poitras, will appear in court in July on the charges.
