A 20-year-old Regina man is facing manslaughter charges after fatally injuring another man earlier this month in the city’s downtown.
Around 11:54 p.m. on June 9, police found Jessie Moneybird, 22, on 12th Avenue and Rose Street.
He was then taken to hospital by EMS for treatment of his injuries, where he later died.
According to police, that night, a fight had broken out between two groups of people — Jessie Moneybird was injured in that altercation by Sylas Moneybird.
Shortly after that incident, Sylas Moneybird also assaulted and robbed a woman.
Sylas Moneybird is facing both manslaughter and robbery with violence charges.
He makes his first appearance in Provincial Court on June 26.
