The Saskatchewan Roughriders have had two days to chew on their second tough loss of the season, but Willie Jefferson says there is no need to push the panic button two games in.
“We’ve been close the last two weeks, but it is the little things stopping us, ” Jefferson said. “We’ve got to harp on the little things when we get back to work Tuesday and make corrections.”
When asked what those little things are, Jefferson says it’s everything.
“Getting the plays in, play recognition, staying onside, preventing holding calls, the little things. We played a helluva game both offensively and defensively, but it was a game that came down to the little things and it cost us.”
The Riders are back at Mosaic Stadium Saturday night to take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in an 8 o’clock start.
