Saskatoon RCMP were called out after a train collided with a semi just before noon on Monday.
The semi was trying to cross the tracks at the Crop Production Services Fertilizer distribution plant at Elstow when it happened.
No one was hurt.
The semi-trailer was demolished and its load of fertilizer was spilled.
Three of the train locomotives and 4 cars carrying canola oil derailed, although, none of them spilled.
One engine spilled diesel fuel.
The 33-year-old semi driver was charged with proceeding from a stop sign before it was safe to do so.
The Allen Fire Department and the provincial Spill Control Centre were called out as well.
