The city of Regina is responding to a matter which cropped up at a downtown bar.
A video, posted by O’Hanlons employee Andrew Shanks, which has gone viral on Facebook shows Shanks and another man arguing with a bylaw enforcement officer late Wednesday night after he started ticketing taxi cabs parked out in front.
In a statement which they say will be their only comment on the matter, the city says it will be installing late night taxi zones along Victoria Avenue at Scarth Street as early as this afternoon which they hope will address the need of patrons and protect the safety of both pedestrians and motorists in the area.
The statement goes on to say they do take the efforts that bars and restaurants are taking to ensure customers get home safely after a night of drinking.
