RCMP are very pleased with the way those who have been coming and going from Country Thunder have been behaving.
Staff-Sergeant Craig Cleary says there were 51 calls for service between 7 AM Saturday morning and 7 AM Sunday morning with three for assault, and nine for disturbing the peace.
With one day to go, Cleary says there has been only one impaired driving charge issued and that happened off-site at a checkstop.
He is not sure if that is due to increased police presence at and around the venue, but he says it is great to see and he hopes the crowd behaves on the last night as Keith Urban finishes the show.
Organizers announced Saturday night Luke Bryan would be the headline act to close out Country Thunder Saskatchewan 2018.
Country Thunder spokesperson Gerry Krochak says it was fun having Toby Keith do his thing last night and then going over to the Leopold Tavern’s booth to sing a couple of songs, and he is expecting another fun night on Sunday.
Krochak adds many are snapping up tickets for next year’s event and that the rest of the headline acts will be announced sometime around October or November.
