The spill forced the cities of North Battleford, Prince Albert and Melfort to shut down their water intakes for almost two months.
- Cleanup continues on North Saskatchewan River following Husky oil spill
- Investigation into Husky Oil spill now in the hands of Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Justice
Peter Prebble with the Saskatchewan Environmental Society says that should be worth more than what he calls “a slap on the wrist.”
He says he’d like Husky to be compelled to upgrade its pipeline system.
