The weather looks to cooperate Thursday evening for the Regina Farmer’s Market first ‘Market Under the Stars’ for 2017.
Dee Kitsch is the Marketing Manager for the Regina Farmer’s Market.
She says there are three such events every year – with each evening Farmer’s Market event just a little bit different.
Kitsch says having an evening market offeres a little bit more than the Wednesday and Saturday markets.
“It’s a little bit extra,” Kitsch said. “So we have the liquor tasting and the food tasting. These are things that maybe you haven’t had a chance to try during the markets. For example, our alcohol vendors can’t give out samples during the regular market. So, this gives you a chance to taste that coveted bottle of gin that you’ve been eyeing.”
Kitsch says it’s a perfect way to not only celebrate summer, but experience some of the Saskatchewan products….at a different time of the day.
“It’s kind of a feature of the food we have in Regina and Saskatchewan, Kitsch said. “And how it can be prepared and actually how impressive it is. So when market vendors are using their products to come up with a taste, it’s really interesting to see what they can come up with; the variety, and the flavours.”
Thursday’s Market Under the Stars starts at 5 and runs until 10.
