Saskatchewan Roughriders centre Dan Clark isn’t mincing words when it comes to the play of the offensive line Saturday night in their 17 point loss to Calgary.
It was a nightmarish first half for the o-line as the Stampeders defence registered five sacks with Charleston Hughes getting three of them in what Clark referred to as a disappointing effort.
Clark says that first half was frustrating, and that by looking at the film they see what needs to be done better.
He adds there is no excuses and he is taking the blame for what happened.
“As a football player, you have to take it to heart.” Clark said. “If you don’t, there’s something wrong with you so as a unit, it is something we definitely have to correct as a unitnd we are confident we will.”
The Riders and Toronto meet at Mosaic Stadium Saturday afternoon at 4:30 with the green-and-white looking to improve their record to 2-3.
