It was almost as hot as Dubai Sunday in Regina.
While the 37C recorded Sunday unbelievably didn’t break any records in the Queen City, it was close.
In 1930, the recorded temperature for Regina was 38.3°C.
However, the conditions experienced Sunday were nearly as drastic as Dubai.
According to an AccuWeather forecast, we came close. The recorded high Sunday in that region which is situated on the Persian Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates was surprisingly similar to what was experienced on the western Canadian prairies. Except that area neared 43C for its daytime high.
Environment Canada says it will still be relatively hot, with a daytime high Monday expected near 29C, however there will be a significant dip in the temperature Tuesday and Wedneday.
Even some cloud cover is expected on those days with a slight chance of showers Tuesday.
Expect the sun to to return later in the week. As well as temperatures near 27C.
