The 55 year old man charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of Colten Boushie last summer will have his trial begin early in the new year.
Gerald Stanley, who is currently out on bail, was committed to stand trial after a preliminary hearing earlier this year.
The trial will begin on January 29 and is scheduled to run until February 15 and will happen in the Battlefords.
In August of 2016, Boushie was shot after a vehicle with five people inside of it drove onto a property owned by Stanley.
The shooting ignited racial tension acoss the province.
