After a short practice at Mosaic Stadium Thursday morning, the Saskatchewan Roughriders boarded a plane to Vancouver to make final preparations for Saturday’s game against the Lions.
In its last two games, the Riders have gotten off to a slow start and have found themselves down 10 points. Against Calgary, they were unable to come back, but against Toronto they were as they won the game.
Head coach Chris Jones knows a better start is needed against the Lions.
“Its two weeks in a row where we found ourselves down 10. You can’t continually put yourselves in a 10 point hole and expect good things to happen.’ Jones said. “They are a tough team at home, but they’re not invincible. We just have to match that physicality if we are to have a chance.”
A win by the Riders would even the green-and-white’s record at 3-3. 620 CKRM has the game for you starting at 5 with our pre-game show starting at 2
