Travis Lulay and the BC Lions’ offence were firing on all cylinders Saturday night as they doubled up the Saskatchewan Roughriders 30-15 in a score that flattered the green-and-white.
The BC quarterback finished the game with 338 passing yards and a touchdown, while also adding 32 yards on the ground in the Lions’ seventh straight win over the Riders who fell to 2-4 with the loss.
Roughriders quarterback Kevin Glenn reached a major career milestone after the half, when he surpassed Ron Lancaster for 6th place on the CFL’s all-time passing yards list. Glenn achieved the milestone after connecting with running back Cameron Marshall for a 26-yard pass in the third quarter.
Head Coach and General Manager Chris Jones says it was just an effort which didn’t have a lot of positives.
‘We got down two scores, and it got reminscient of the Calgary game. They matched man for man on defense and they were able to get their guy, and we failed to execute.” Jones said
The two teams will meet again August 13 at Mosaic Stadium.
