Your chance to show your pride for the City of Regina on Saturday. I Love Regina Day is nearly here and this year it’s at the New Mosaic Stadium.
Regina Mayor Michael Fougere says it’s an excellent way to celebrate our city.
Especially by staging this event at the new stadium – which has caught the attention of sporting fans throughout North America.
“It’s breathtaking, “Fougere said. “It’s the best stadium in Canada, by far. And one of the best stadiums in North America. People are going to be treated to wonderful facility, get a chance to get onto the playing field, and see some sporting activities and enjoy the environment.”
Fougere says holding this year’s event at Mosaic Stadium adds a whole new dimension.
“This has been a great event for the number of years it’s been on,” Fougere said. “We’ve held it at Victoria Park for a number of year. But a change of venue will give people an opportunity to see some new sights and see the stadium. They’re going to find out the people are very friendly and love the city very much.”
Mayor Fougere encourages everyone to attend as there will be something for every age.
“There will be some sporting activities there,” Fougere said. “Also a chance to get a sneak peak of the Riders’ locker room. There’s an opporunity for pictures with the special photo booth. Sports demonstrations. And of course, along the concourse, there are lots of activities happening there as well.”
