Additional service for six bus routes in the city begins Monday.
The added trips are aimed at students who use Regina Transit to get to and from as another academic year is right around the corner,
Nathan Luhning with Regina Transit said all the routes with added trips are centered around the University
“Primarily around the university, to make sure we can help get students to and from the school,” Luhning said.
Luhning added most of the added routes are in the morning and afternoon peak period, but there is some evening service as well.
He said The Universal Bus Program has been a positive one for students at the university.
Luhning says the first year of the program showed a 75 per-cent increase in ridership both to and from the campus.
