People visiting Saskatchewan’s provincial parks over the Labour Day long weekend will have to do without a campfire.
The province has issued a ban on open fires in every provincial park for the weekend. Dry conditions are to blame.
Charcoal briquettes and propane barbeques can be used.
There are 34 fires burning in northern Saskatchewan – including three out-of-control blazes near Pelican Narrows.
Residents in southern regions also face a fire ban outside provincial parks.
