The Saskatchewan Roughriders are over 500 for the first time since the end of the 2014 season.
On Sunday afternoon at a sold-out Mosaic Stadium, the green-and-white jumped out to a 24-3 lead after one quarter of play as they won their third straight knocking off the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 38-24 ending a Winnipeg five game win streak.
Kevin Glenn had a huge afternoon as the Riders quarterback threw for 386 yards and three touchdowns.
“It has been a team effort,” Glenn said after the game. “It just hasn’t been one side of the ball, it has been all three phases.
“The guys understand that and they see it developing and they believe in it. That’s a good thing because when you start believing in it like this, you can start rolling off a lot of wins.”
Saskatchewan is now 5-4 on the season, and will be in Winnipeg next Saturday afternoon to play the Bombers in the Banjo Bowl in a 1 o’clock start.
