Regina Pats forward Sam Steel practiced with his team on Tuesday. The big question is when will he do it again.
The 19 year old leaves Regina Wednesday to attend training camp of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks made the Sherwood Park, Alberta native their first round draft pick in the 2016 entry draft.
Steel doesn’t know what his hockey future holds, but he intends on making it tough for the Ducks to send him back to Regina right away.
It is thought Steel will have an extended stay with the Ducks and could play up to 10 regular season games with them before he is sent back to junior.
