Regina’s airport authority wants to hear from Queen City travellers Thursday evening as they continue to develop their latest 20-year master plan for Y-Q-R.
The authority plans a new 20-year master plan that includes concept ideas on growth and continued success moving forward.
An open house will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 at the airport’s Terminal Check-in Hall.
Ken Waschuk, Acting CEO of the Regina Airport Authority says the main focusing is always expansion.
“Expansion of the terminal building will be the most visible,” Waschuk said. “And that could begin happening as soon as next year, or a few years after. THat would depend on the state of our finances, the traffic flow and passenger demand.”
Waschuk says they do long term forecasting on passenger demand, and when a comfort limit is reached they being working towards a terminal expansion.
