After splitting an opening weekend home-and-home with the Brandon Wheat Kings, the Regina Pats are back on home ice Wednesday night as they take on another Eastern Division foe–the Swift Current Broncos.
The last time the two teams played, it was Game 7 of a second round playoff series that Regina won to eliminate a Swift Current team that had been ahead in the series three games to one.
Many players on that team are back this year, and assistant coach Dave Struch is expecting they haven’t forgotten what happened last spring thus they will have some extra bite to them when the puck drops.
The Broncos come into the game with a record of 1-1 as well.
620 CKRM will have the game for you starting at 7.
Also Tuesday, the Pats announced they are partnering with Mosaic to support REACH (Regina Education and Action on Child Hunger).
For every save made by a Pats goalie this year. Mosaic will donate $25 to REACH.
REACH provides a hand up not a hand out by supporting at risk families to provide healthy food for their children. In addition, REACH helps Seniors to stay in their homes by providing healthy food to the door and teaches at risk children and families the skills to eat healthy.
After the Pats opening weekend, the partnership has raised $1,300 thanks to 52 saves over two games from Tyler Brown and Max Paddock.
