Two members of the University of Regina Rams have won Canada West football weekly awards after their efforts Saturday in Edmonton in which the Rams beat Alberta 58-55 in double overtime.
4th year running back Atlee Simon had 206 rushing yards and 59 receiving yards with three touchdowns to become the Rams all-time TD leader and claim the conference’s offensive player of the week award. He now sits tied for eighth all-time in the conference record book for career TDs.
Kicker Daniel Scraper, who delivered a trio of field goals to help the Rams to their 58-55 double-overtime win over Alberta including a 26 year old game-winner as Regina improved to 4-2 on the season.
Regina will take on Calgary Saturday afternoon.
The Dinos go in with a perfect 6-0 mark.
