Tyler Brown made 26 saves and the Regina Pats won a third straight game Wednesday night — 2-1 over the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Brandt Centre.
George King got the scoring started for the Pats with a powerplay goal in the first period, his fourth of the year.
The game stayed 1-0 until late in the third when Jake Leschsyhyn would score into an empty net, shorthanded to give Regina the 2-0 advantage.
Brandon got one back with 41 seconds left off the stick of Ty Lewis, but the Pats would hold on from there for the 2-1 victory.
Regina outshot Brandon 47-27, the powerplay was one for five and the penalty kill four for four.
Regina improved to 2-1-0-0 against the Wheat Kings and are 5-2-0-0 on home ice.
The Pats (6-4-1-0) are back in action on Friday when they host the Victoria Royals at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre.
