The death toll for cattle from wildfires in Southwest Saskatchewan has been raised to 750.
The Provincial government said in a release the official numbers were increased after speaking with farmers and veterinarians in the area.
Conservation officers are also in the area and have said a small number of wild animals, such as mule deer, antelope and some game birds have also been killed by the fires or euthanized due to the severity of their injuries.
The loss of wild animals is being considered individual losses, and will not affect the local populations to much degree.
There is still no official number of buildings lost in the blaze, as assessment is ongoing.
The investigation into the cause of the wild fires is still underway, and the investigation is in conjunction with Alberta authorities.
