The Saskatchewan Roughriders are heading to the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
The Riders walked into Calgary and handed the Stampeders just their second loss of the season and their first loss at McMahon Stadium since 2015 as they won the game by a score of 30-7.
After a wild week in Riderville revolving around receiver Duron Carter, he put the dagger into Calgary on this night when he intercepted a Bo Levi Mitchell pass and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown.
The Riders got their other TD’s from Christion Jones on a 61 yard punt return, and a Vernon Adams Junior touchdown run.
Chad Owens had a great debut for the Riders catching 5 passes for 77 yards.
The green-and-white are now 9-7 on the season and will be back home to play the Montreal Alouettes on October 27
