Over the past 67 years, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council has undergone a number of changes, evolving and expanding in scale and scope to meet new and emerging needs in the community.
And on Thursday, the non-profit decided it was time for another change.
A new operating name, logo, vision and mission were unveiled province-wide.
Its new name is SaskAbilities and the new concept was shown off with plenty of enthusiasm.
“We wanted to pay tribute to our organization’s notable history while modernizing the logo to reflect the tremendous efforts we’ve made over the past several years. Our new logo is a true reflection of our growth and transformation,” said Ian Wilkinson, Executive Director of SaskAbilities.
SaskAbilities is a streamlined name that still maintains a nod to its long history and roots in the community.
New colours of the logo bring a sense of rejuventation and energy into the organization.
“At the heart of what we do will always be the individuals we support and the communities we serve,” said Wilkinson. “As we continue our work in the community, strong brand recognition will unify the many SaskAbilities programs, services and products.”
