The guy affectionately known as “Blue” is going to stay in green for a few more years.
On Monday afternoon, the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced offensive lineman Brendon Labatte has signed a four year contract extension with the team meaning he will remain a Rider until the end of the 2021 campaign.
The 31-year-old Weyburn native has spent 10 years in the CFL —6 with the Riders.
LaBatte is a seven-time division all-star, four-time CFL all-star and was named CFL most outstanding offensive lineman in 2013.
He won his first Grey Cup in 2013 as a member of the Roughriders.
