The hours are ticking off til there will be a gap in the Regina landscape.
BOOM – at 1pm on Friday, October 27th, 2017 – Taylor Field will lay flat. As I write, it looks like bare monkey bars void of children swinging from the lofty rungs. A crisp and clear Saskatchewan day for an iconic structure that has brought joy, pain, frustration, agony, loss, jubilation and left a whole lotta nerves frayed!
The area around Taylor Field will allow on-lookers to absorb the flattening of the structure and by 6 pm football fans gathering at Mosaic Stadium will be buzzing with stories of what they saw.
By 7:30, the stands at Mosaic Stadium will be filled with wild cheers for Darian Durant. I hope! Sounds like Durant thinks the fans should be up for his arrival too.
By 8pm – the Riders may well be running away with the game, if the Calgary game is any indication. Montreal may have things to say about the outcome, we shall see.
