Get off your butt in the new year and volunteer. You’ll meet some awesome people, learn some different skills and get to catch some incredible action! I’m talking about sports here! 2018 is going to be huge and extra hands are required!
Events are sport related, which means that people coming to Regina for the Tim Horton’s Brier and the Mastercard Memorial Cup will be in great spirits. Rum, Rye, Vodka and Beer!
Big sport events draw an interesting level of participation. Men come dressed in various costumes; supporting their team, their province or whatever they believe in.
Some might suggest that it truly is a guy’s world when spouses or significant others send them packing to another city (mostly for a break) for three to ten days! Over the decades this trend has seen more women and children get into the act. A family affair.
Such events like, Grey Cup, make a mere fan feel insignificant if you aren’t wearing face paint or some sort of costume.
Maybe not being decked out in chain link hats and shirts or a pirate costume will set you apart from the crowd! Oddly enough, when you meet a character at a sporting function, they remain anonymous by pretending to be something they aren’t. Or are they pretending!
So, the Brier and the Memorial Cup.
Its a sure thing, you’ll have fun!
