This morning on my way to work I noticed something that I usually see a few times over the course of a winter, although I thought it was a little early to start plugging vehicles in yet. I passed a car that had it’s extension cord plugged into the block heater while the rest of the cord was wrapped around the passenger side mirror. Now, that looks cool. Not!
I know my neighbour plugged his vehicle in over the weekend, but I haven’t noticed anyone else in the neighbourhood doing it yet. When my wife and I plug our vehicles in, which only happens in extreme temperatures, we leave the extension cord plugged into the house and we’ll run the cord back up to the front of the house when we leave. We would never think about wrapping the darn thing around one of our mirrors.
If you need to take your extension cord with you, wouldn’t it take less time to toss it into the backseat of your car than it would to stand there in this cold weather and meticulously wrap the darn thing around a mirror? It looks so dumb.
I’ve always said that summer weather brings out the oddballs, but apparently there are as many oddballs out in the cold weather as there are when it’s warm.
