A longstanding Regina culinary hot spot is temporarily closed following a massive crash.
The China Pastry on Victoria Avenue sustained major property damage when a white truck drove into the storefront shortly after noon Friday.
Owner Cindy Lau says it was just another normal day at work with husband Tony until shortly after noon.
“I had a customer waiting here, so I was packing buns for her, facing the back of the building,” Lau recalls.
“Then I just heard that noise and I don’t know where it comes from, it was like VROOM, VROOM, VROOM!!!”
Despite significant damage to the property, Lau is thankful no one was injured.
If anyone has information on the truck or it’s operator, Lau encourages them to immediately contact the RCMP and Regina Police.
