A Regina man faces several charges into the unauthorized use of credit and debit cards after several transactions related to stolen cards were made this summer.
37 year old Jeremy Williamson faces five charges of theft under $5,000 and five charges of possession of stolen credit cards.
In a release, Regina police say they have seen increase in thefts recently related to thieves using the tap function on both debit and credit cards.
The release goes on to say many of the cases start with people leaving their debit or credit card in their wallet which is then left in a vehicle which is unlocked and then stolen.
They are using this as a reminder to tell all people to remove all valuables from their vehicle before exiting it and to lock it.
