And those people would be correct, unless of course you just watched “Moneyball”. Then you know that the stats add up and give stat geeks all the info required to come up with a logical process of who’s suppose to come out on top. While the movie was a reflection on how things changed with the world of baseball, that is just a movie and it is baseball.

Sunday’s Eastern Final match-up favoured the home team, that finished point wise behind the Saskatchewan Roughriders. But as we all know, the best laid plans don’t always work the way they should. And while “Canada’s Team” had a city, a province, a NATION pushing them across the finish line, the day was not to be won by the Western cross-over team.
Match up after match up on defense and a sputtering offence became rough spots on the Rider score sheet. When you constantly are two and out, you better be in shape and ready for the long haul. Next man up, who’s going to be your next hidden weapon that will surprise your opponent.
One thing we’ve learned about the 2017 Saskatchewan Roughriders, never underestimate them. The Bel13ve slogan was what carried all of us into this post season run .. so close .. like 2 minutes, close.
