The one thing I enjoy about Agribition is running into people I know and getting a chance to catch up on things. It seems I can’t take ten steps without seeing somebody I know. Some I see a lot through the course of the year, some I haven’t seen in a long time. Some I remember vividly, some I remember vaguely. I’ve run into a few people who are coming on our Flea Market trip to Mexico in February and I’ve run into a few who’ve traveled with us in the past. A few of the people I end up chatting with have booths at the show and only roll through Regina during Agribition time.
The one thing I don’t enjoy about Agribition is the pace at which everything moves. It’s way too slow for an impatient guy like me. If people aren’t walking one mile an hour, they’re stopped in the middle of the lane chatting to someone. I do everything fast, and that includes walking.
I was chatting with Colin at his broadcast location yesterday when he informed me that I had about 3 minutes before I was due to go back on the radio. I hightailed it out of Arena 5 to get back to Arena 3 for my spot from Warner Industries. I was weaving in and out of people like a man on a mission, which I was. I made it back with about 30 seconds to spare.
At least there’s one good thing about a slow moving crowd. I’m getting practice for my trips to the stores for Christmas shopping!
