The Saskatchewan government is providing 200-thousand dollars for Canadian Western Agribition.
Lyle Stewart made the announcement Monday at the opening of the show.
Stewart says the funds will be provided over the next four years, adding Agribition is a good investment, bringing millions of dollars worth of business to Saskatchewan.
“It will be a huge return on investment,” Stewart said. “We’re providing 50-thousand dollars per show for the next four years.”
Officials expect over a thousand visitors from places like Ukraine, China and Columbia to see the latest in livestock genetics.
Regina Mayor Michael Fougere says Agribition pumps an estimated 57-million dollars into the local economy.
