Day four of Canadian Western Agribition 2017 is in the books and we’re now on to day five. A huge thank you to SaskMilk for inviting 620 CKRM on location at their booth at the Everyday Living Marketplace located in the Agribition Building.
They have their 2018 recipe calendars along with rub on tattoos and pencils. They also have a handy book on how to store various kinds of cheese properly. The dairy industry is incredibly important in this country with over 11 thousand dairy farms and 444 processing plants, according to recent stats. That means nearly 221 thousand jobs are associated with the dairy industry in Canada!
SaskMilk is also part of the Dairy Farmers of Canada, which has a cheese sampling station set up in the food pavilion! Yesterday Robin from SaskMilk and I did the “chubby bunny” challenge with feta cheese. Normally one does this with marshmallows, but we did it it with cheese.
