The city of Regina wants suggestions when it comes to the proposed Coopertown development in the northwest.
Tonight residents will have an opportunity to provide feedback at a public open house.
Shauna Bzdel Director of Planning for the city says this is the first opportunity for people to see the concept plan put forward by the developer.
“So we invite residents to come out and look at the area, look and see what type of land uses are proposed,” Bzdel says. “What kind of things to expect, how it’s going to lay out, and provide feedback.”
Bzdel Director of Planning for the city says the proposed area is mostly residential with the opportunity for business development in the later stages.
“There’s opportunities for some institutional areas, recreational areas, things like that.”
Coopertown developers were given the green light to begin planning the area this past spring at a city council meeting.
