The Regina Police Service is getting in the Christmas spirit.
The organization kicked off their annual Christmas Charitree initiative Monday afternoon at police headquarters, announcing they’re partnering with the Eagle Heart Centre.
Officer Dean Rae says it was important to partner with an organization who has a good pulse on the community.
“They spend a lot of time working with people in our community and providing a service to them to make their lives better.”
Executive Director at the Eagle Heart Centre DeLora Parisian says this is a huge help to many families.
“About 500 families go through our centre annually. I’m pretty excited for them,” she says. “Each year, it’s a struggle to get through Christmas and provide for the needs of their family.”
Donations and gifts can be dropped at police headquarters until December 22nd.
