Icy highways are to blame after a jack-knifed semi-truck blocked northbound traffic on Highway 11 to Saskatoon Tuesday evening.
The delay last hours as the truck had to be cleared of its load and moved.
Police were on scene of the incident and detoured traffic around the semi.
Extremely poor driving conditions also caused multiple collisions in the Maidstone and Lloydminster area.
According to RCMP, Highways 16, 21 and 303 were very icy several vehicles were in the ditch around the town of Marshall.
RCMP also tended to a single vehicle collision involving a semi and a tanker trailer on Highway 21, one kilometre north of the Highway 303 junction.
Highway Hotline warns motorists morning travel and commutes will likely be difficult given the recent snow and much colder weather.
Roads are expected to be poor again Wednesday morning and motorists are urged to either postpone travel, or take extra time to get to your destination.
Wednesday’s Environment Canada forecast promises some much milder weather.
