Nine Regina police officers were rewarded for 20 and 30 years of exemplary service Wednesday at Government House.
Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield presented the officers with the medals and the First Bar to Officer David J. Virgin who reached the 30 year milestone.
Virgin says policing has changed immensely over the past 30 years.
“I remember before we had radios in the cars,” Virgin said. “It’s been a very positive change for our police force, and I foresee that for the future as well.”
Exemplary service is given to officers who have displayed constant good conduct, industry and efficiency throughout their distinguished careers.
