A 29 year old Regina man is getting three years in prison after pleading guilty to driving while impaired causing the death of a 25 year old woman.
Adrienne Gardiner was a passenger in a car being driven by her fiancee when it was rammed from behind early in the morning on October 8, 2016 while sitting at a red light at Albert Street and 25th Avenue.
Court heard Brendan Sugar was travelling 110 kilometers an hour in a 50 kilometer zone moments before the crash which also injured two others. His blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit.
Sugar has also been banned from driving for five years upon his release.
