The Regina International Airport introduced their new President and CEO of Operations Thursday afternoon.
James Bogusz was named as the Regina Airport Authority President and CEO on November 30th, but won’t assume the role until February 1st.
Bogusz says taking the job in Regina feels like a homecoming.
“To be totally frank, my family was actually here in the 1970’s,” Bogusz says. “My Mom and Dad used to own a home on Dewdney Avenue, right by the RCMP Depot, so in a round-about way it feels like I’m coming home.”
While originally from Regina, Bogusz has spent the last decade working for Victoria’s Airport Authority, with experience before then working with the Airport with his private company.
Bogusz says he hopes to bring back international flights to Regina which were lost over time.
“I understand that we used to have year-round trans-boarder service for example with airlines like United,” Bogusz says. “One of the big priorities for me is going to be rekindle those services that we lost.”
James Bogusz worked at the Victoria Airport since 2007, and held the role of Vice President or Operations and Development.
