Charges are pending against a man after Regina police were forced to use a taser on him early Saturday morning.
In a release issued by Regina police early Saturday morning, they say officers were called just before 2 AM to the 900 block of Devonshire Drive in the city’s northwest.
Upon arrival, they found a man in the backseat of a vehicle. He refused requests to leave the vehicle, and when one officer attempted to remove him, he became combative.
Fearing that some phsyical harm could erupt because of the man’s nature, the taser was deployed and he was taken into custody before going to hospital to get checked over.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
